Whetstone members are some of the best in the world (i.e. All-Pro, All-NBA, MVP). Being at the pinnacle, however, increases the isolation and decreases the feedback. While confidential peer relationships anchor our model to solve for this, active players face unique pressures that require guidance from those who have already walked the path.
There is an elite, select group of veteran legends who share these exact accomplishments, yet possess the invaluable wisdom that only years of experience can create. Our members actively need the perspective and mentorship that only you can provide.
Legacy Advisors serve as a critical bridge to the next generation, offering off-the-record wisdom and guidance that players simply cannot get within their own team, locker room, or inner circle.
We offer our members the opportunity to meet with you privately when they travel through your home city. For example: If you are based in Atlanta and an NBA member travels to play the Hawks, our team will reach out to you—or your assistant—to coordinate a private dinner the night before the game, or a meeting at their hotel if the player prefers more privacy. We manage the transportation and all costs associated with the connection so showing up is all you need to do.
Active players can't always get the truth inside their own locker room. Whether you're a Hall of Famer or Olympian from the same or different sport, you have the distance and the respect to provide a perspective they haven't heard before.
Our members are at the pinnacle of competition, yet they often don't receive feedback from people at this level. We ask you to share your hard-earned expertise in the areas the player has self-identified as limiting their growth.
We identify the windows when members travel through your region and handle every logistical detail of a dinner or hotel meetup. Outside of prior commitments, we want to remove all friction that may inhibit you from giving back to our members.
